Core Values
::In reading the values below we hope that you hear a bit of our heart and understand the thoughts and issues swirling in our minds and souls::.:POTENTIAL:. Do you realize the potential that lies in the hearts and hands of us as individuals? It could literally change the world. The biggest problem with potential is its dormant and sometimes latent nature. We have all been blessed and gifted with so many great resources; this gives us influential power. We long to see potential awakened and revolution become a reality.
.:INVOLVEMENT:. As a culture, have we become desensitized to the great atrocities around us? We are grieved for the great needs and injustices of the world. Yet, the only way these needs and injustices will change is if we engage them head on. Where are we when the world needs us most? Apathy and inactivity should not be a part of our vernacular.
.:UNITY:. How long will we allow our differences to keep us from working and walking together? Servanthood is a powerful unifying force. Whether differences come from race, denomination, political thought, or any number of factors, think of the impact this world would see if we would rise up together, arm in arm, across dividing lines; all for one common purpose: change.
.:RESPONSIBILITY:. More than 30,000 children every day, die from a lack of food, water and malnourishment. More than 2,000 people a day fall victim to the snares of human trafficking. Billions without clean water and sanitation... More than 40% of the world's wealth is in the US. As humans, we can not sit by watching the world suffer. We have a responsibility to our fellow man. Jesus said in the scriptures to "love our neighbors as ourselves". If we found ourselves in the same situation the majority of our world is in, it is certain that we would long for someone to come to our aid.
.:COMPASSION:. The hands always follow the heart. First, our hearts must break before our hands will move. If we don't find ourselves compassionate and hurting for the issues of this world that are broken, there is a great chance that we will never extend a hand of help. We must view all of life through a lens of compassion and mercy. This is not an isolated mentality, it should invade our everyday. Action, then, becomes a natural bi-product of a lifestyle of compassion, grace and mercy.
